Singapore Management University (SMU) is looking for two full-time research 
assistants (RA). The RAs will work 8 months in Singapore to assist Prof. 
Jianfeng Hu (https://business.smu.edu.sg/faculty/profile/84238/HU-Jianfeng)
in multiple research projects from November 2019 to June 2020 (exact period 
negotiable). The salary is SGD 2000 per month. Interested candidate please

Position 1: Research Assistant of Data Analysis

Job Scope:

1. Coordinate with a P2P lender in data request, transfer, and management
2. Clean the lender's administrative data
3. Use econometric tools to analyze data
4. Literature review on microcredit and P2P lending
5. Assist the professor in other research needs related to the project

Requirements:

1. Senior postgraduate student matriculated in a reputable university
2. Solid knowledge in statistics and econometrics
3. Strong skills in programming and data analysis
4. Reasonable understanding of financial markets and banking
5. Experience in mobile app development is a plus

 
Position 2: Research Assistant of Financial Experiments

Job Scope:

1. Coordinate with a P2P lender, university (SMU) and other stakeholders in 
experiment design and approval
2. Conduct field experiments in Southeast Asia
3. Coordinate a follow-up survey and code data
4. Analyze the experiment data
5. Literature review on field experiments, financial education, and 
microcredit

Requirements:

1. Senior postgraduate student matriculated in a reputable university
2. Deep understanding of banking and psychology
3. Reasonable knowledge in econometrics and experimental studies
4. Good communication skills
5. Experience in project management is a plus
